Road Planing

We operate a fleet of Wirtgen road planers ranging from the W600 planer with a 600mm wide milling drum to the 565HP driven 32 Tonne W2000 planer. These machines are capable of planing asphalt up to 300mm deep in one pass. The 7 No road planers are supported by our low-loaders, tippers, suction sweepers & water bowsers.

Our plant is regularly maintained by a team of highly experienced fitters & continual investment ensures that the machines are regularly renewed.

Our planers come with VCS ( Vacuum Cutting System ). This ensures that dust from milling operations is removed from around the planer & deposited in the disposal lorry. This feature is particularly beneficial in town centre works where pedestrians are present.

Our works range in size from private driveways to major motorway contracts covering all of Ireland. One of our more recent jobs required that 20,000m2 of asphalt carriageway be removed in a single 8 hour shift.

The small W600 planer is commonly utilised on pipe laying contracts, where the carriageway can be cut 600mm wide x 300mm deep in advance of the pipe laying squads.
