Suction Excavation - How it works
Suction Excavation works by using a high throughput of air (40,000 m3/hr). This high velocity air current removes the material to be excavated through the suction - intake attachment. This attachment is manoeuvred using an hydraulically operated boom, via a remote control box.
The sucked material is then deposited in the holding tank and all dust particles are captured in the micromesh filter system. The suction excavator is equipped with a high pressure air system that facilitates the use of air lances and spades. These attachments are used to penetrate, expand and break up the materials to be excavated.
