Recycled bituminous materials, commonly known as road planings is the material that is produced from our milling operations.
RAP is a valuable commodity to our customers & where possible, it is transported from the road-works sites back to the quarry for recycling into new blacktop.
This helps to reduce our carbon footprint and that of our customers and minimise impact on the environment.
In some cases it is used as a “capping layer” on site. This negates the need to import raw quarry materials, once again minimalizing environmental impact.
